THE ISLAND

Enthusiastic and impressionable student Dafne comes to the island to research a recently discovered byzantine icon. Here the stark beauty of the castle, its mystical atmosphere excites her imagination and she falls in love with the place as well as its people. She is especially attracted by icon restorer Eleni but also Eleni’s fiancé Fotis. The way Dafne chooses to confront the dilemma takes her to a journey of self-discovery.
