In June 2017, a research was conducted, as part of a Dissertation Thesis at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering, of the National Technical University of Athens, with the aim to compile a methodology for the photogrammetric survey of the exploded views of house faceds in historical settlements where streets are characterized by very small width.
The research took place in Kalamoti, a medieval village in the south of Chios island. This methodology will be applicable to all historical settlements within the Masticha Villages area.
The research was supervised by SRSE Dr Andres Georgopoulos and the students Stelios Kossieris and Olympia Kouroyniotis.
The photogrammetric survey of Kalamoti was part of the project Entopia of Elliniki Etairia, Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage and was realized with the kind support of Alexandra-Mamaligka Prokopiou.
